About Us

Danny, the owner and operator of Fire Island K9, is a USMC veteran with extensive experience as a military working dog handler and trainer. He has accumulated years of proven expertise both overseas and domestically. 

During his military career, Danny completed a variety of specialized K9 training courses and served two tours in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. There, he and his military working dog Gretchen, were integral members of a Marine Corps Special Operations team, conducting combat operations.

Since his service in the Marine Corps, Danny has continued to work extensively with working dogs and family pets, delivering structured, results-driven training grounded in experience and precision.
